How to choose the right wedding dress length for you?

As a wedding dress designer who’s met many brides in their search for the perfect dress, I know how hard it can seem to make the right choice. If you’re endlessly browsing alternative wedding dresses right now, and can’t decide between a maxi gown, a sassy short dress, or a mid-century midi, I have some tips for you! Naturally, there are beautiful bridal dresses in every length, so start by ascertaining the following:

The location:
The place of your ceremony and reception should be taken into account when choosing your wedding dress length. This is particularly true for outdoor celebrations that take place on grass or sand that could soil your hemline if it drags on the ground. If you are planning an elopement wedding outdoors or a beach wedding, a shorter dress or a long dress with a slit can be more suitable.

The most flattering fit for you

 I’m a firm believer that all brides are beautiful, and if you have a dream dress in mind, nothing should stand in your way. But, there are certain styling principles you should be aware of: long dresses with a flowing line elongate and make you appear slimmer. Shorter dresses complement tall torsos and long legs.

And - Don’t ignore the season: Wedding dresses are not supposed to keep you warm, but still a short dress is less suitable for a winter wedding.

Once you’ve gotten these decisions out of the way, consider these styles

Maxi Dresses

The bohemian style means forgoing long trains and constructive corsets in favor of loose-fitting fabrics that will help you feel like yourself on your special day.
